Branding Creative Direction Digital Art Concept

Mumbai Masala is a British-Indian Curry House born in Lanzarote — where India's bold flavours find a home among the Canary Islands' volcanic landscape. From branding to creative direction, digital art to concept — a full identity built from the ground up, the branding foundation the brand continues to carry today. Opened in 2016, now one of the most celebrated Indian restaurant groups in the Canary Islands — holding TripAdvisor's Best of the Best award, ranking in the top 1% of restaurants worldwide.

Where Spice Meets Stone

A logo that tells two stories at once.

The three mountains on the logo represent heaps of Indian spices (masala in Hindi) — while simultaneously depicting the volcanic mountains of Lanzarote. The fork stands for Mumbai Masala's iconic fine-dine style of service. The 'masala' font is inspired by the Indian script, bringing authenticity to every touchpoint.

From Kitchen to Table

Showcasing the journey of a meal being prepared.

A creative direction piece capturing the full journey of a meal — from the hands of the chef in the kitchen to the moment it arrives at the customer's table. Shot to showcase the care, craft and culture behind every dish.

Paintings for the Walls

Art made for the various Mumbai Masala branches.

Created a series of digital paintings for the Mumbai Masala branches across the Canary Islands. The latest piece was inspired by the Indian festival where elephants are ceremonially painted and worshipped — a nod to the rich cultural roots the brand proudly carries.
